A very 1920’s Matahari style to this act, so of course black & white is the order of the day. A great pose provides perfect lead in lines and I removed most of the background to suggest a simple spotlight on the figure. Shot without flash @ ISO3200. Amazingingly perfect makeup here - and the eyes are untouched, that’s the colour they were. The whole outfit was a superb take on the old witch finder look. Outfit of the event for me. More shots in the Flickr Set

Steampunk is of course everywhere now - including Belgium. Great detail on this face mask (it was a masked ball) - clearly hand made to fit. More shots in the Flickr Set

Masses of drama here in black & white with the detail on both costumes contrasting well. The expressions finish it off nicely. More shots in the Flickr Set

This mask reminds me of the seven veils or similar. After a few attempts, I got this shot at f1.4 right on the eye for a bit of atmosphere. More shots in the Flickr Set
